Fabulous Friday

I can not tell you how happy I am that it is Friday. This week at work has been the worst. It has been so busy, each day felt like I had been there for 3 days.
I am so excited for about 3:00. Robert and I play Bunco with 5 other couples and we are in charge for June so all 6 couple's are going camping tonight and coming home on Sunday. We love to camp, but it will be so fun with our friends. We have been getting together for about 10 years. Some of the time we don't even play Bunco, we just enjoy each other's company. We already vacation together so we may as well camp together. Hopefully I will get some great pictures and will post them next week before I leave on Thursday for Martin's Cove with the youth in our Stake. ( I AM to old for this.)
Tiffany and her kids have moved back home with us. I think that they are finally settled. Mike has the kids the week of the 4th of July, so she will be able to get things put away and in order while they are gone. As crazy as it is at our house I LOVE having the kids there.
ELLEN... I tried to comment on your blog and it would not send through, Tiffany said you have to go in and approve people so that they can comment on your blog.. You know me, kind of stupid about this stuff, if you have any questions or problems give her a call so she can help you.
Last, I want to remind the Davies Family about the Family Reunion the first weekend in August. If you have any questions, give me a call. And The Garbe Reunion is the 15th-17th of August. We are so excited about this. My kids have some really fun things planned so be sure that you have that on your calendar also.
Sorry about no pictures, I need to get better at getting them on my computer. And speaking of which I took some great pictures of Gerald and his family. If Ashley does not get one on her blog I will put a couple of them on next week. It always fun to take pictures when you have a great back ground ( gerald's back yard) and you have great subjects. Love you guys.

#1: WHAT WAS I DOING TEN YEARS AGO?
Ten years ago I was in my 7th year of working for John Smiley at State Farm. Trent was 19 and still trying to decide what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. Tiffany was 17 and I was pretty sure that she would NEVER graduate from High School. She did not care one bit about school or her grades. As long as she looked good and was having fun she was good. Thank You Mike Gardner for setting her on the course for graduation. Tyson was 12 and of course like always excelling in school. It was alway easy for him. Robert and I were just enjoying life. For the most part we had good teenagers and really quite enjoyed them.

#2 WHAT ARE 5 THINGS ON MY "TO DO" LIST TODAY?
Work of course.
Get stuff together for Tiffany's yard sell tomorrow.
Take the girls to dinner, as Robert and Trent will be a father & son's.
Clean my house
Hopefully get to bed early

#3: SNACKS I ENJOY
Popcorn
Red Vines
Puppy Chow-- great receipe

#4: THINGS I WOULD DO IF I WAS A BILLIONAIRE
I would first go on a very extended vacation. I would pay off my house and my kid's house's. We would all have a new car. I would buy a condo somewhere great so the whole family could get away several times a year. And I would put money away for my grandkids education.

#5: PLACES I HAVE LIVED.
Spanish Fork, Utah
Springville, Utah 2 months.
Spanish Fork, Utah
I really get around Huh.

Girls Camp

First of all, you know that if I would do this blogging thing more than once a month I could probably remember how to do it. I have to have Tiffany show me everytime what to do. So I am going to try and be better.
Last week was our Stake Girls Camp. Before I even get started I want everyone to know that I am just to dang old for this. Anyhow... We left on Wednesday morning and as usual the Stake always has a full schedule, which is OK. But to start off we had 23 people from our ward. In the last 3-4 years we have only had 5 girls. And this year the state fire marshall let all the stakes know that because of code we could only have 14 people sleep in the dorms. The over flow had to sleep outside in tents. This was not really a problem, we had girls and leaders that were OK with being out there. Wednesday night when we were getting ready to leave the Lodge and go back to the dorms President Lamb came in and said that they had spotted a bear behind some of the dorms, you guessed it 7th Wards. He told everyone in the Stake that there would NO one sleeping in tents. We were to put everyone in the dorms and he did not care if they had to share a bunk, sleep on the floor, no one was going to be out side. We were OK because we had brought up some extra cots, and between those, a couple of lawn chairs and some foam pads everyone had a pretty good place to sleep. This was also good news for me as a leader because after you lay down at night is when you learn about the girls, see how strong their testimony is and maybe even learn some things about their family members that they probably should not be telling. I was glad to have the extra bodies in the dorm because it was freezing at night. The first 2 nights I had 2 quilts and a levi quilt on top of me and I did not sleep at all because I knew that if I moved then I would have a new cold spot. By Friday night if warmed up a little bit. I was able to take off one of the quilts. ( I told you I was to old for this )
After I got home on Saturday I made the mistake of just laying down for a minute. That was at 12:30 and at 6:30 Robert was still trying to wake me up to go and get something to eat. But all in all we really did have a great time. Here are a few pictures.
Here is part of our group trying to keep warm.
One afternoon they had Karaoke, Of course they can really ham it up.
Here is the reaction of a couple of our soon to be Beehives
when we told them we were going snyp hunting.
Patricia really did not want to get up. We picked up her cot and moved
her outside. After about 15 minutes her sister went out and told her she
was outside and everyone at camp was looking at her. She then jumped right
up.
Really and truly I love my calling in Young Womens. Even though I love my bed at home, I look forward to my time with my girls. I am so thankful for their love and testimonies and everything that they teach me.
